PARIS:  A Tanzanian cultural exhibition has concluded successfully in Paris, France, showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage as part of activities leading to the World Kiswahili Day celebrations on July 7.

The exhibition was officiated by the Minister for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Paul Makonda, alongside Tanzania’s Ambassador to France, Saidi Othman Yakubu, and other dignitaries.

The event highlighted Tanzania’s diverse cultural identity through traditional attire, handicrafts, performing arts and other aspects of Kiswahili heritage, giving visitors an opportunity to experience the country’s traditions and creativity.

The exhibition forms part of Tanzania’s efforts to promote Kiswahili and cultural diplomacy on the international stage as the country joins the global community in marking World Kiswahili Day. Organisers said more activities are scheduled to continue in Paris as part of the commemorations.
