DAR ES SALAAM: YOUNG AFRICANS have announced the completion of the transfer of 22-year-old striker Emmanuel Mwanengo from TRA United, formerly known as Tabora United.
In a statement released on the night of December 29, the club said the process of strengthening the squad has begun, with Mwanengo becoming the club’s first signing. The player is also capable of playing as an attacking midfielder.
The statement added that the signing was made on the recommendation of the club’s technical bench led by head coach Pedro Gonçalves, and that Mwanengo has already joined the team in camp alongside his new teammates.

Mwanengo has signed a contract that will run until the 2027–2028 season and is expected to be an important asset to the squad due to his versatility and ability to play in more than one position on the pitch.
In his football development, Mwanengo was nurtured at the LG Organisation youth academy. He began his professional career in Tajikistan with Ravshan Kulob, later joining Vakhsh, before signing for TRA United earlier this year.
