The Chairperson of the Women’s Committee of TSN, Anna Laizer, thanked the company’s leadership for enabling them to take part in the celebrations, saying the event is important in promoting women’s rights and equality, especially in workplaces.
On their part, employees of the Government Newspapers Corporation, Ester Sanga and Lydia Inda, said the day is important for women as it promotes equality and justice in the communities around them.
The theme of the celebrations is:
“Rights and Equality for Women and Girls: The Foundation for an Inclusive Future Towards Vision 2050.”
